The position will report directly to the Head, Human Resources for North America, and be part of the U.S. HR leadership serving a functional leader. The leveling will be based on skills and experience.
- Responsible for strategic and day-to-day execution of total rewards for Cipla’s U.S. operations, including:
- Ensure compensation programs are market competitive. Participate in compensation surveys, conduct related analysis, research market competitive practices, recommend new programs or enhancements, for competitive and innovative recognition and reward strategies.
- Perform external and internal benchmarking for compensation, making recommendations to HRBPs and management during hiring, transfers, promotion, and equity audits to ensure fair, competitive, and performance-driven compensation.
- Manage workforce planning and budgets in conjunction with the concerned HRBP.
- Develop and manage pay structure and position management.
- Create, monitor, and administer compensation programs such as incentive pay and bonus programs
- Responsible for the design, administration, delivery, and ongoing support of employee benefits programs, including:
- End-to-end responsibility for renewals and vendor selection and management and responsibility for the annual open enrollment process.
- Evaluate existing benefits programs and processes; recommend enhancements or improvements in support of strategic initiatives or as triggered based on benchmarking, legislative needs, business factors and aligned with Cipla’s mission for ‘Caring for Life’.
- Lead employee wellness agenda in coordination with HRBPs.
- Ensure benefits-related documentation, supporting materials and communications are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, updated promptly and compliant with the respective plan or governmental regulations
- Leave of Absence (LOA) Process Management & Administration
- Responsible for Relocation Program benefits and administration and Immigration in coordination with HRBPs.
- Assists in the development of HR Analytics, including ongoing reporting of dashboards and ad-hoc reports.
- Lead HR Compliance efforts, including Team Guide management, compliance postings, and internal audits.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including compensation and benefits. For Director level placement, more extensive experience is required.
- Must have critical thinking & issue resolution skills
- High attention to detail, while ability to see big picture.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a cross-functional setting
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with all teams in the U.S. and home office based in India
- Proven track record of aligning compensation and benefits programs and processes with business strategy
- Broad understanding of federal, state, and other employment laws and mandates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced analytical skills, including a High level of Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with HRIS Systems. Success Factors and ADP a plus.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare industry experience – branded pharma experience is a plus
- Professional Certification (CEBS, PHR, SPHR, CCP)
- Fundamental understanding of immigration law

- Must be willing to work Hybrid at the Warren, NJ office.
- Willing to lead and work as an individual contributor.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
