The purpose of the Legal Assistant, Compliance Monitoring and Auditing is to actively monitor, audit, identify and report on potential compliance issues related to the method and manner in which the Company operates.

Outcomes and Activities:

  • This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at an office location if requested by the team member.
  • Support monitoring and auditing activities related to dealer and service provider conduct. This includes:
  • Investigating complaints and/or concerns related to dealer and service provider conduct;
  • Auditing dealers and service providers for compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures and contracts and state and federal law;
  • Analyzing and monitoring trends in dealer and service provider data;
  • Suggesting and taking corrective action to address findings from the above-listed activities; and
  • Review and audit accounts and account-level data for compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures and escalate potential compliance concerns.
  • Timely assist with gathering documents and responding to regulatory inquiries;
  • Support other compliance-related activities as requested

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work efficiently so as to maximize the quantity of work performed without sacrificing the quality of your work product
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand, interpret, and act on information promptly and effectively
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to solve problems
  • Open and receptive to ongoing feedback aimed at improving performance
  • Be self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and professionally
  • Quickly learn and become a subject matter expert in new systems/processes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a compliance, data analysis, or related legal experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft suite of products, including Word and Excel

Targeted Compensation: $22.50 - $31.50/hr. + an annual bonus plan
