Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams. This position involves handling a wide range of technology needs, from building and configuring new laptops to troubleshooting complex hardware and application issues. We are looking for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a dynamic environment.

This position is considered hybrid; you must be able to work on-site and attend in-person group meetings as needed.

 Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with desktops, laptops, printers, AV equipment and other peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Windows operating systems, Teams, SharePoint, Webex, Microsoft 365, Visual Studio, and other end user productivity software.
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot network connectivity and wireless access for local and remote computers, VoIP Phones and other devices
  • Perform software installations, updates, patching, and system configurations across various platforms.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including setting up workstations, configuring software, and providing initial training on company systems.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment, ensuring devices are properly tracked.
  • Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution while maintaining documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of networking equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to handle more complex support requests and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures for data security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to end-users and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / technical discipline, or equivalent experience required
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Active Directory, and other productivity software.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users.
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and stay up to date on industry trends.
