BI/Data Analyst - job 2 of 2

Our client is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to be responsible for transforming data into reports, dashboards, and analytics. This individual will collect requirements from our business partners and develop data visualizations that provide insights into the company’s performance. Working with business units, they will look for opportunities to automate existing reports into our BI environment. This role will review data and analyze metrics to provide insight to business leaders.This role has a HYBRID schedule - must be comfortable working 3 days onsite in Scottsdale, AZ per week.Notes:• Working with the BI and Analytics team• Will be working with the end user• Need heavy attention to detail• Must have strong Data Analytics and Tableau experience• Will be heavily working with the data (Sales, ambassadors, commission)• Budgeting and forecasting would be a huge plus• Python is nice to haveThis job will have the following responsibilities:• Design, develop, test, and implement reports and dashboards using data from the warehouse to assist in business decision-making and performance monitoring. Ensure visualizations are interactive and easy to understand.• Ensure data is accurate, the performance of visualization is optimal, and functionality and verbiage are designed for a non-technical audience.• Participate in full BI development lifecycle: from defining requirements, creating SQL extract, developing BI objects, testing with end-user and promotion to production.• Develop well organized and detailed documentation of metric definitions, report tracker information, and commonly used functions/calculations. Maintain and improve documentation as new processes and rules are implemented.• Partners with and provides recommendations to business leadership on the appropriate application of analytics to business strategies and effectively communicates analyses.• Bring a Continuous Improvement mindset to work every day. Analyze existing reporting and data logic processes to identify areas for efficiency. Implement efficiency and train team on the new process.• Participates in code reviews, evaluates, and recommends alternative solutions when appropriate.• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders; organize and engage in effective meetings with the BI team and business partners.• Train business partners on how to use and interpret the data in our dashboards.• Assist with answering Help Desk tickets related to data requests and reporting support as needed.• Other Ad-Hoc and Ongoing Reporting and Dashboard requests.• Communicate clearly: verbal, written and presentations. Be detailed but to the point. Attend all company required training and actively participate in development conversations with managers.Minimum Requirements:• 5+ years in a data analysis/reporting role.• 5 + years of previous experience in BI tools and languages such as Tableau, Power BI and SQL.• Experience in an agile/Kanban environment.
