Brief descriptionThe position of Country Manager consists of representing the company in his country. A Country Manager's job involves managing operations, developing business, and increasing profitability for the company in a specific region or country. Within corporate relocations and international removals, a Country Manager needs to have specialist skills and knowledge relating to the retail, Luxury, Perfume & Cosmetics world. The company is seeking a Country Manager who enjoys client client-facing role and the challenge of growing a new business from scratch.Tasks• The company's Country Manager will be responsible for managing all operations within his country. This involves taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash, and quality targets. It also includes many areas of the business such as moving services, global mobility and records management, and opening a new structure.• Agreeing on annual budgets and producing a detailed annual business operating plan are tasks that the company's Country Manager has to deliver as well as monthly, quarterly or annual targets for revenue, profits, and cash.• A key part of the role of the company's Country Manager will be to produce business performance reports, which could be on a monthly or quarterly basis.• The role is client-facing so daily contact with clients is a big part of the company's Country Manager job, therefore the ability to communicate effectively is essential.• Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products;• Direct and coordinate the organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency;• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with the Area Manager,• Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions and coordinate with other department heads as required;• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.Qualifications and requirements• Having a business development mindset is key• Must be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with some financial qualifications or training – a solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning is essential as this role involves agreeing on annual budgets as well as producing financial reports.• The company's Country Manager needs to have a strong understanding of how a business operates and successful candidates will have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen.• General management experience is essential for working in this job.• You need to have excellent networking skills.• You need to be able to deliver the highest standards of customer service.• The ability to monitor the performance of the staff.• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people management, leadership, and both written and verbal communication skills.• To effectively manage operations, you need to have knowledge and experience in the Perfume and Cosmetics Sector, Luxury, and mostly Retail.• Must be familiar with computer software programs e.g. Word, Excel, etc.• A full clean driving license.Competencies:• Dependability: The job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.• Hands-on with a business development mindset• Attention to Detail: The job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.• Leadership: The Job requires a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.• Self Control: The job requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.• Initiative: The job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
