As the Global Head of Renewal, you will lead and oversee a comprehensive portfolio of global renewal contracts. With a focus on strategic leadership, this role demands a seasoned professional capable of building and nurturing high-impact partnerships with Sales, Customer Success, and other key internal stakeholders to secure renewals and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex contract negotiations, financial strategy, and customer management, with the ability to translate these into actionable insights and results. Your leadership will be crucial in minimizing financial attrition, securing favorable contract terms, and uncovering growth opportunities that contribute to the overall success of the business.Key Responsibilities:• Lead the development and execution of sophisticated negotiation strategies for large-scale contract renewals. Your approach should maximize contract value while safeguarding and enhancing long-term customer relationships.• Collaborate closely with Account Executives to establish clear, data-driven renewal strategies tailored to each customer. Play a pivotal role in the account team, identifying and capitalizing on incremental growth opportunities during the renewal process.• Take full ownership of the renewals process, ensuring seamless coordination with the account team. Manage the pipeline effectively, addressing any risks promptly and driving renewals to successful closure.• Partner with internal teams, including Competitive Intelligence, Pricing, Product Management, Customer Success, Legal, and Sales and Revenue Operations, to craft and execute holistic renewal strategies that deliver optimal outcomes.• Demonstrate advanced account management and commercial expertise to address customer needs, overcome obstacles, and ensure timely renewal closures. Maintain and deepen customer trust through effective engagement.• Provide comprehensive visibility into renewal activities for executive leadership, escalating issues as needed. Facilitate executive involvement in critical renewal negotiations to ensure alignment and success.• Maintain and rigorously update a rolling 120-day forecast of renewals within your territory. Identify and communicate any risks early, working proactively to develop and implement mitigation strategies.• Champion and adhere to best practices across all internal processes, including Opportunity Management, Data Quality, Quotations, and Forecasting. Embrace new initiatives, acting as a thought leader and mentor within the organization.• Engage in high-level strategic account planning with key stakeholders, including AVP and RVP, to drive accountability and alignment across teams, ensuring a unified approach to renewals.• Serve as a leader and ambassador for the Renewals team, exemplifying the company’s values and commitment to excellence in all interactions.Required Skills and Experience:• 15+ years of proven experience in a senior Sales, Operations, or Account Management role, with a strong focus on high-value contract negotiation and management.• Exceptional negotiation skills, particularly in handling complex, multi-year contracts at the C-suite level.• Advanced process management capabilities, financial acumen, and a rigorous commitment to policy adherence.• Outstanding customer management skills, with the ability to navigate complex, strategic conversations and foster long-term customer relationships.• Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond to rapid changes in priorities and organizational dynamics.Desired Skills and Experience:• Deep expertise in Open-source SAAS-based products, platform features, capabilities, and optimal use cases.• Extensive experience in negotiating complex, multi-year service contracts within large enterprises.• Proficiency with enterprise CRM systems or customer service applications.• A track record of successfully managing transactions through various stages with the aid of technology.• Completion of formal negotiation skills training is an advantage.• A proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities or pilot projects that advance the department or organization.We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee is valued and respected.
