Our client is currently seeking a IT Manager - Temp3-6 month contractRemotePosition Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join our team. This role requires a strong background in ITIL, managing a Microsoft 365 environment (including InTune, SharePoint, and Azure), supervising the IT Helpdesk, and experience in vendor management and implementation of organization-wide projects. The ideal candidate will act as both a manager and technical contributor, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:IT Operations Management:Oversee and manage day-to-day IT operations, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency.Serve as a technical escalation point for the helpdesk team, providing guidance and solutions to complex issues.Implement and maintain Service Desk platform using ITIL-based processes and procedures.Microsoft 365 Environment Management:Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services, including InTune, SharePoint, and Azure.Ensure the security and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment in partnership with our InfoSec Manager.Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of Microsoft 365 tools across the organization.Project Management:Lead and manage IT projects, acting as both a project manager and technical contributor.Establish project plans, timelines, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.Vendor Management:Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers.Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure service level agreements are met.Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance IT capabilities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience.Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with a strong technical background.Knowledge of ITIL and experience implementing ITIL-based processes.Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, including InTune, SharePoint, and Azure.Experience in vendor management and negotiating contracts.Demonstrated ability to manage and execute IT projects, with experience acting as both a project manager and technical contributor.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified: 365 Administrator) are preferred.Key Competencies:Leadership and team managementTechnical expertise in IT infrastructure and Microsoft 365Project management and organizational skillsVendor management and negotiationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving and critical thinkingAdaptability and continuous learningAdditional Information:Mostly remote, with occasional visits to the Long Beach site if needed.Must be a hands-on leader, able to manage and execute tasks.Some after-hours support may be required.Ensure security requirements are met and maintain the helpdesk platform.Oversee system upgrades, outages, and maintenance.
