Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Journeyman Electrician for our client based out of Hagerstown, MD.This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.Responsibilities:\t Handle DC voltages up to 600V and AC voltages up to 480V 3-phase on plant equipment, and up to 12,470V on distribution equipment.\tUtilize prints, schematics, program documentation, National Electrical Code, service manuals, and technical bulletins to complete tasks.\tPerform installation, construction, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment both inside and outside the facility. This includes, but is not limited to:\t\t\tElectric lift trucks, communication lines, programmable logic controllers, personal carriers, lighting, automation control circuits, batteries, cranes, conveyors, chargers, distribution equipment, dock doors, locks, and levelers.\t\tMotors and motor controllers, emergency generators, boilers, compressors and their controls, belts, control circuits, fluid fill machines, fans, transformers, torque tools, computer equipment, circuit breaker panels, HVAC equipment, dynamometers, welders, variable frequency motor drives, and other electrical machinery used in production.\t\t\tUnderstand hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.\tUse electrical test meters and equipment to diagnose issues.\tResearch part numbers for repairs, order spare parts, and manage inventory.\tDocument repairs and generate or edit prints and programs as needed.\tPlan electrical jobs, calculate and order necessary supplies and materials.\tUse ladders and lift platforms safely.\tFollow OSHA lock-out tag-out procedures, maintain a safe and clean work area, and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.\tBe flexible to work any shift.\tCommit to meeting customer and facility operation expectations.\tMaintain regular and punctual attendance.Experience:\tHigh school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.\tMust provide proof of completing a certified electrical apprenticeship program with Journeyman status or have at least 4 years of equivalent on-the-job experience.\tExperience in manufacturing or a general understanding of a manufacturing environment is preferred.Physical Requirements:\tAbility to stand, walk, and maneuver within the client’s environments for extended periods.\tCapable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.\tFrequent bending, crouching, and reaching to access and install hardware.\tAbility to navigate stairs and confined spaces as needed.Why Work for Apex Systems:\tWe offer weekly pay, direct deposit, competitive pay rates\tHealth/Medical benefits, Life Insurance, 401k, Employee Stock Purchase Program\tDiscounts to most major certification programs, access to multiple technical training platforms and programsAbout Apex Systems:At Apex Systems, we value integrity, respect, and excellence, and we are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and consultants alike.
