Junior Staff Accountant

Position Title: Junior Staff AccountantPay Rate: $18.00 to $25.00 DOEReports to: Accounting ManagerPosition Summary:The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner. The candidate must have knowledge of general accounting principles. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to:• Record all day-to-day AR and payment transactions• Ensure billing correctness and completeness• Process customer payments in a timely and accurate manner• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits• Reconcile discrepancies among billing, customer payments, and deductions• Reconcile AR sub ledger to general ledger• Comply with company police and procedures• Skills and Abilities:• Understanding of accounting principles• Highly detail and analytical oriented thinking• English language skills, both written and verbal• Well versed in customer service and negotiation skills• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook experience / skills• Education and Experience• High School Diploma• (B.S.in accounting or business administration) Preferred• Working Conditions/Job EnvironmentMost work will be indoors with limited exposure to outside elements. There will be time spent on the Production floor and in the Warehouse tracking projects and components, so appropriate dress and safety requirements must be adhered to at all times.
