MRO Buyer

OverviewThe MRO Buyer is responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies, and services essential to the operation of the manufacturing plant. This role involves purchasing, negotiating terms, managing logistics, and adhering to company purchasing procedures. The MRO Buyer will work closely with local and foreign suppliers to ensure optimal terms and costs for the company, and will handle all aspects of purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with established terms.Responsibilities• Source and select suppliers for the procurement of goods and miscellaneous items.• Initiate and submit requests for new suppliers in alignment with the company’s “Data Governance” and Finance Department procedures.• Analyze purchase quotes, negotiate pricing, and input information into the purchasing system.• Coordinate shipping and transportation logistics for orders when required.• Monitor and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery.• Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely purchases of high-quality materials.• Maintain records of processed orders, including cost and departmental usage for cost analysis.• Create and maintain detailed files for each purchase, including requisition forms, quotes, and other necessary documentation for audits.• Identify and suggest opportunities for continuous process improvements.• Enforce safety rules and ensure personnel adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks within the manufacturing area.• Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and the company’s Food Safety Quality System requirements.• Perform other duties as assigned.• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and processes.Education, Experience and Skills• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Minimum of five years of experience as a buyer, preferably in a similar industry.• Strong analytical skills and the ability to self-learn.• High attention to detail.• Proficiency in English and Spanish (both oral and written communication).Job Type: Full-timeEducation:• Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:• Purchasing: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
