Production Manager - job 1 of 2

We are looking to open up a small factory to manufacture cookies, and mail them across the US.The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the production of our cookies. We are looking for a process-oriented individual who will become a subject matter expert of all our products, manufacturing processes, and machinery.Duties and Responsibilities• Manage daily production of products to ensure quality, consistency, and safety• Coordinate the weekly production schedule based on forecasted sales and inventory• Lead and develop a team of approximately 10 line workers• Oversee the inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies• Understand and maintain compliance with food safety standards• Assist with hiring and training of new employees• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions• Ability to take initiative; self motivated to produce resultsMinimum Requirements• Prior experience working in a food manufacturing facility• Management or leadership experience• Proficient in Gmail, Word/Google Docs, Excel/Google SheetsPhysical Requirements• Able to carry, lift, and move items weighing up to 50lbs• Continuous movement, and must be able to stand for long periods of time• Able to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.)• May be required to work weekendsJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:• Dental insurance• Health insuranceSchedule:• 12 hour shift• Day shift• Monday to Friday• Morning shift• Weekends as neededAbility to Commute:• Statesville, NC (Required)Work Location: In person
