Apex Systems has a need for a Scrum Master with a premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio! This Scrum Master will be supporting a brand new team currently working in an Agile environment for the 1st time. Looking for a patient and flexible Scrum Master who is committed to a disciplined Agile approach and has coached teams new to Agile methodologies.Ideal candidates will have 5-6 years minimum of solid Scrum Master experience, knowledge of Scrum and Kanban practices, and coaching experience to successfully push groups to follow more of the traditional Scrum ceremonies.Strong preference for candidates with a PM background supporting large IT initiatives and/or who have supported in the Data/Analytics/Azure projects & initiatives.5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a global, enterprise environment managing multiple scrum teams for large scale programs is also strongly preferred.Candidates must have experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) to track and manage projects.If interested in any of our Agile/Scrum positions, please forward your resume to Erin Waller ewaller@apexsystems.com and reference Job #2044003.Job Duties/Responsibilities:\tManage scrum teams and guide them on continuous improvements\tGain business and high-level technical understanding of team’s work (i.e product) along with internal/external dependencies\tAssist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed\tCommunicate directly to team members, preferably face-to-face, to button up any items related to scrum board or scrum process\tTrack stories and keep stories on track – ensure that stories are properly decomposed into manageable tasks, impediments are voiced timely, team members are not taking abnormal time (given the story points) for any given story\tSchedule and run all scrum-related meetings and ceremonies efficiently\tManage the scrum board; make sure everything is up to date and hold team members responsible for keeping it updated\tVerify to ensure that story details (tasks, hours, etc.) is there and updated for each story\tSend out follow-ups, create (or ask someone to create) missing stories for work being performed, make sure everything discussed is being tracked on the board and in the backlog\tHelp remove impediments by tracking them closely and ensuring that someone is actively working on itRequired Qualifications:\tMinimum 5+ years of Scrum Master experience\tDesired experience as a Technical Project Manager\tDesired experience working in a Software Development team, as a Developer, or QE, or BA, or Architect\tExperienced with common Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban) and different software development processes involving large scale projects\tExperienced with agile tools and Azure DevOps (ADO) project tracking software\tMust be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get hands dirty to get the job done\tAssertive – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls\tSituationally Aware – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management\tEnthusiastic and passionate about Agile methodologies and continuously raising team’s performance and effectivenessEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
