Senior Accountant

Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we’ve created a brand-new Senior Accountant role to support our expanding operations.Essential Responsibilities:• Journal Entries & Reconciliations: Prepare period-ending (monthly/quarterly) journal entries and supporting reconciliations with precision and accuracy.• Analytical Review: Perform analytical reviews and flux analysis, researching variances between actuals and budget to provide actionable insights.• Transaction Review: Support the review of company transactions and document accounting conclusions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.• Audit Support: Assist with annual audits and interact with external auditors as necessary, providing detailed and accurate information.• Control Design: Own the design and maintenance of controls over revenue and lease reporting to ensure integrity and compliance.• Leasing Schedules: Maintain leasing schedules and perform related monthly/quarterly journal entries.• Accounts Receivable Oversight: Manage the accounts receivable and revenue function, including direct oversight of one accounts receivable analyst.• Billing & Collections: Oversee billing and collections processes with the assistance of the accounts receivable analyst.• Forecasting: Assist in forecasting activities for revenue, billings, and collections, providing critical support for financial planning.• Ad Hoc Reporting: Conduct frequent ad hoc reporting and analysis to support various business needs.• Project Accounting: Manage project accounting tasks, including journal entries in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.• Collaboration with Project Finance: Partner with the Project Finance team to manage, assess, and fulfill informational reporting requests of our community solar aggregators and utilities.• Incentive Programs: Assist Project Finance with accurate projections and collection of funds from incentive programs.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with key internal business partners, including accounting, asset management, project finance, and business systems, to drive ongoing initiatives to successful conclusions.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting (CPA is a plus).• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with both public and private sector experience.• Previous experience in the renewable energy industry is highly desirable.• Proficiency in MS Excel, with experience handling large volumes of data, including data tagging, filtering, XLOOKUP, SUMIF(s), and Pivot Tables.• Strong understanding of ERP and CRM systems, particularly NetSuite and Salesforce.• Working knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 842.What We Offer:• Career Growth: Join a fast-growing company with ample opportunities for professional advancement.• Innovative Environment: Work in a cutting-edge industry with a team of passionate professionals dedicated to making a difference.• Collaborative Culture: Enjoy a supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued.• Competitive Compensation: Receive a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary commensurate with experience.
