The successful candidate will serve as a key subject matter expert and advisor to legal and business teams, offering strategic and high-quality legal counsel on data privacy and security matters. This includes but is not limited to, providing guidance on best practices for compliance with US and global data protection laws, collaborating with privacy and security colleagues to enhance the company's privacy program, and supporting the development and implementation of privacy and security-related policies and training programs. The role also involves serving as a legal resource for the strategic review, drafting, and negotiation of privacy and data security terms in various contracts, and advising on data protection laws that impact business operations and contractual relationships.S. state bar membership, and a minimum of 8-12 years' of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least 5-10 years' specifically focused on data privacy and security. The role requires a deep understanding of relevant privacy statutes and regulations, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other international privacy laws. Experience in drafting and negotiating privacy and security-related contracts, managing privacy and cybersecurity incident responses, and a background in privacy litigation and enforcement are highly valued.
