The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and tracking the performance of the center's strategy, goals, and metrics, as well as driving process improvement and efficiency in financial close and reporting cycles. This role demands a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, a CPA is preferred, and over 15 years of experience in investment accounting, public accounting, or a related field. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and US Statutory investment accounting, as well as experience in managing investment accounting within the insurance industry, is highly valued.Key responsibilities for the VP include establishing investment accounting processes and procedures, maintaining the integrity of accounting records, and leading the team in the completion of financial close processes. The role also requires a proactive approach to collaboration with senior leadership and various stakeholders to manage the onboarding of new investment strategies, drive process automation, and ensure the accuracy of investment-related tax processes. The ideal candidate will have a broad and deep knowledge of complex investments, including derivatives, private placements, and commercial mortgage loans, and the ability to provide detailed analysis of investment income.
