Connect2Health Intern

The Connect2Health Intern is a member of the College of Health Dean’s Office. This position is responsible for managing and strengthening the Connect2Health health advocate team presence and efforts within the healthcare community. This position will collect and analyze data, specifically for partnership with Intermountain Healthcare. This position also generally provides administrative support to help Connect2Health run smoothly.

Responsibilities
A. Collect, analyze, and prepare data related to volunteer team efforts.
B. Oversee administrative matters regarding clinical partner meetings specifically for data presentations.
C. Assess training needs and inform program manager and project coordinator to ensure those needs are met.
D. Understand in-clinic workflow. Maintain familiarity of in-clinic volunteer procedures by serving shifts throughout employment. Moderate physical activity required.
E. Serve as program representative in addressing issues and questions with clinical partners; Care Management, Clinic Managers/Medical Directors, Physicians, Social Workers, etc., when needed.

Minimum Qualifications
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.

Preferences
  • Communicate clearly with health advocate teams and partners in a timely manner.
  • Able to work collaboratively in team settings.
  • General knowledge of supporting under-served communities.
  • Experience with analyzing data using statistical technique and providing reports.

  • Previous volunteer or work experience with under-served patient populations (in health care). Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to motivate and work with diverse individuals and groups within the university, and clinical settings.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in courteous, professional, and timely manner.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks with a high degree of competency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong skills in data analysis and REDCap.
Possess a valid driver’s license at time of employment. *
