Job Title: L&A Construction Manager
Job Location: Raleigh, NC
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time, reliable Construction Manager in our Raleigh NC office. As a Construction Manager, you will serve as an integral member of our design/build team. Essential Duties:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Oversee the daily operations of crews to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with customer, TEP and Safety regulations.
- Conduct daily onsite inspections of all field activities.
- Develop and execute efficient construction scheduling of self-perform and subcontracted work.
- Compile, order and manage materials necessary for job completion.
- Compile, order and manage inventory of tools necessary for job completion.
- Implement and follow through with job instructions.
- Schedule and manage subcontractors, inspections, punch walks and utility coordination.
- Ensure safety and quality control requirements meet company and OSHA standards at all times
- Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort.
- Coordinate with customer representative for site related activities. Maintain a positive working relationship with customer representative at all times.
- Provide leadership, guidance and actively train / promote learning to all your crew members.
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition at all times.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Have ability to travel, as required, for job related functions.
- Able to work away from your home base for periods of time as needed.
- Must be fit and in good physical condition.
- Field 80% / Office 20% (Varies)
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of wireless construction industry experience as lead or manager.
- Extensive knowledge with microwave installation and pathing, including POI, Waveguide and Elliptical
- Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge.
- Job related certifications – First Aid/CPR, Safety, Rescue, Rigging, Anritsu, Fiber Testing, GPS Antenna Alignment and related field certifications.
- Excellent organizational, computer and communication skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with company motor vehicle policy.
- Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
- Ability to lead, teach and train proper work and safety procedures.
- Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork in electronic formats using a computer
- Present professional image at all times.
- Extensive Travel out of state for up to three weeks is required
- Fundamental understanding of Microwave / Wireless Transmission installation requirements required
