Specialist, Field Service Project Management

Reports to: Lumen Franchise Leader

The Ciena Services Specialist, Field Services Project Management will lead, supervise, and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple Services projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value.

Ideal Profile:

  • Critical Thinking / Analysis- Analyzes Multi-dimensional problems; gathers information over extended periods of time and applies complex concepts to generate possible solutions.
  • Experience in deployment of Optical networks & NMS related projects i.e. large complex projects/clients.
  • Proactive and works with a sense of urgency
  • Regional Telco experience
  • Judgment - Makes Complex decisions/Judgment taking into account multiple alternatives.
  • Decisiveness - Delivers decisions in the face of competing alternatives
  • Outstanding planning, scheduling, and coordination skills
  • Breadth of technology, Services and intuition for business.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to think through complex business issues.
  • Works collaboratively in matrix environment, with many collaborators
  • Results oriented, Collaborator and Accountable
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications.
  • Must have proficiency with Project Management tools

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 6 to 8 years related project management work experience strongly preferred
  • PMP Certified Required
  • Experience having worked in matrix organization that includes demonstrating strong influencing and collaborative skills across multiple teams
