This position will be responsible for providing efficient administration, implementation and delivery of Health and Welfare benefits, including life, AD&D, disability, absence management, a private healthcare exchange, and certain voluntary benefits. The individual will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects to ensure that benefits plans and practices are compliant with current legislation and continue to help differentiate Lincoln as an employer of choice.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments, trends and regulations for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to implement changes, ensuring the Company’s benefit programs remain compliant, competitive, and continue to differentiate Lincoln as an employer of choice.
- Manages all programs, policies, and vendors responsible for disability and other leaves, such as state PFML, FMLA, and company sponsored paid parental leave.
- Tracks and monitors benefit vendors to ensure accuracy in benefits delivery and strong plan performance, including resolution of claims and administrative issues.
- Liaises with benefit vendors with respect to plan eligibility, participation, coverage, compliance matters and other benefit matters to resolve outstanding issues.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Implements, integrates, and executes employee and retiree health and welfare benefit projects/programs to ensure accuracy in benefits delivery, strong plan performance, regulatory compliance and cost containment.
- Ensures projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility meet quality, schedule, milestone, and budget commitments.
- Prepares, reviews & obtains necessary documentation for qualified plans within assigned area(s) of responsibility, with legal consultation; IRS/ERISA mandated submissions and employee communications, including Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Summary of Material Modification.
- Supports annual open enrollment activities, including coordinating stakeholders/resources for the delivery of benefit enrollment.
- Develops and facilitates effective communication plans of active health and welfare employee benefit programs, with support from communications and team members, to describe changes to and processes of existing plans and to highlight the value of LFG benefits.
- Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Consults/Analyze and serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Maintains and creates reports and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 3 - 5+ Years of experience in Health & Welfare, Human Resource Administration, Human Resource Consulting, and/or Human Resources that directly relates to the responsibilities of this position.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Evaluate trends in data or information.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
- Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend process improvements.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail, demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

Pay Range: $65,700 - $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
