Consultant - PHP

We need an experienced (5-7 years) PHP developer with strong skills working in an agile environment. In this collaborative team you will be encouraged to have key input in projects, as well as to take ownership of granular feature planning and delivery, communicating daily with the business consultants and development team.

You will be working closely with the Scrum master and development team working remotely in Italy. As a PHP developer, you would be responsible for managing front-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a good understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
• Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• Good knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Excellent communication skills

• Must have strong knowledge in the following skills:
• Should be well versed with PHP, HTML, MYSQL / Maria DB, Javascript, Jquery, and require.js.
• Demonstrable knowledge of XML, XHTML, CSS, Modules i.e. API integration
• Expertise in object-oriented PHP programming.
• Should have good fundamentals of MVC, REST, Service based architecture
• Acquainted with source code controlling and versioning on GitHub.

• Knowledge of Icinga framework
• Experience of working in NetEye 4 product (monitoring system)
