Position Summary
The Compensation Consultant will manage key components of physician compensation projects
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management-
Lead planning meetings.

Manage components of sophisticated projects using company resources effectively to meet expectations of internal and external clients.

Analysis
-
Analyze physician and/or advanced practice provider compensation practices of client organizations to determine their competitiveness, fairness, and efficiency.

Analyze survey data to determine levels of pay that are within fair market value for physicians and or advanced practice providers

Writing, Presentation Development and Quality Control

Draft fair market value and commercial reasonableness opinion letters.

Design new incentive compensation programs.

Develop and test Cash Compensation Models.

Write reports presenting analyses and recommendations.

Develop recommendations for strengthening and/or restructuring clients’ compensation programs

Client Interaction
-
Interview executives and/or physicians to learn their perceptions of current compensation, benefit programs, and to ascertain and assess company strategies, plans, goals, and culture.

Present reports to clients via phone, video conference, or in person
Additional Considerations:
-
MBA/MHA from a reputable program or strong quantitative background with equivalent experience in health care administration or consulting strongly preferred

2+ years of healthcare experience, as well as substantial prior analytical experience
-
A strong background in finance, health care operations, or consulting in a managed care environment and a broad understanding of health care organizations and health care economics, including competitive issues, reimbursement patterns and health insurance

Clear, concise, professional written and oral communication skills, including strong persuasion skills and excellent platform presentation skills.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong PC skills.

3 or more years related experience
