CONSUMER PAYMENT ANALYST - SHELTON, CT
Role Overview
The Consumer Payment Analyst supports our luxury brand and functional area management throughout the Americas Region to manage the payment life cycle which includes but not limited to creation, monitoring and maintenance of merchant accounts. This person will identify high risk behaviors, reconcile discrepancies and refute chargebacks. This role will report to the Consumer Payment Supervisor and support all activities including compliance reviews, controls and training for the network on AML, Sanctions and credit card handling.
Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain compliance of internal control policies and procedures across the organization as per Group requirements.
Improve the level of internal control through procedures implementation and training, identification of risks and communication with Maisons and Regional Support Function
Identification of high risk areas through strong investigation skills and data extraction.
Process reconciliation, chargebacks and write-offs.
Provide timely communication and escalation of information to the Maisons and Senior Management.
Provide chargeback resolution to ensure all outstanding issues are resolved and reported to Maisions monthly.
Support credit card inquiry and chargeback resolution process as well as investigate and resolve variances with credit cards, wire transfers, etc to enable the reconciliation of the general ledger accounts.
Assist with projects and initiatives to transform the business both locally and globally.
Partner with Legal Department to ensure compliance related to consumer payments.
Be an integral part of the team to implement and support new technology/systems and their related operational procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in business related field (Preferred)
Required Experience:
Prior hands-on experience with credit card processing and reconciliations
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Multi-level consumer payments experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Powerpoint for reporting
Strong quantitative analytical skills
Excellent customer service skills
Proactive in anticipating and planning projects
Create and deliver engaging presentations
