The Content Data Labeling Manager manages the internal Content Data Labeling Team and third party vendors which analyze historical records and help generate training data for AI models by:

  • Creating bounding boxes for page segmentation

  • Classifying and annotating the resulting segmentations

  • Identifying and extracting entities, relationships, dates and places

  • Training and answering questions from vendors related to their data labeling efforts

  • Auditing vendor data labeling output to ensure contractual quality requirements are met

What You'll Do...

  • Manage the internal and vendor teams’ production of data labeling output to ensure quality and delivery timelines are met

  • Train and develop team members

  • Works with the Ancestry Data Science team to define and refine data labeling requirements

  • Establishes and delivers upon service level agreements with cross functional teams across the organization

  • Manage staffing capacity of the internal team and external vendors

  • Participates in formal weekly and monthly vendor governance processes

  • Occasional travel as needed to international vendors to assess vendor compliance, performance and capabilities

Who You Are...

A proven business leader with:

  • 3 + years of people management experience

  • B.S. or B.A. in a relevant field required (e.g. business, engineering, etc.)

  • 3 + years of operations and/or vendor management experience.

  • Proven track record of taking on increased responsibility

  • Superior interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, listening, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of management and bring consensus among various teams

  • Able to act independently, exercising independent decision making, and fulfilling responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize individual and team tasks effectively to ensure resources are allocated properly
