Opportunity Summary:
Upland Software is seeking an ambitious marketer that has a particular skill in writing engaging and knowledgeable content, with an understanding of modern methods of content marketing, SEO, and demand generation. You will need to be able to take complex (and sometimes conceptual) topics and turn them into unique, clear, and consumable blogs, eBooks, articles, speaking abstracts, web pages, emails, social posts, and other forms of content. With a resource of experts within the business, you’ll need to be able to work with colleagues to extract crucial knowledge and convert it into unique content that is engaging, educational, and compelling.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Write thoughtful, persuasive marketing content to support every stage of the customer journey, targeting key personas by product to engage, educate, and inspire buyers.
  • Conceptualize and create engaging content such as blogs, eBooks, white papers, articles, infographics, social media, videos, emails, etc.
  • Engage with key internal stakeholders (product marketing, product management, customer success managers, account executives, and others) to gather information and requirements for content creation.
  • Collaborate closely with the demand generation team to create compelling content for integrated and tactical campaigns.
  • Oversee, govern, and update content as required to ensure consistent messaging and content is kept current and accurate.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience as a content writer or content marketer for a B2B technology company.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple formats of content creation targeted at an enterprise audience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities to quickly transform technical ideas or concepts into engaging stories.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests/projects simultaneously.
  • Keen interest in content marketing best practices, content performance, and measurement.
  • Ability to establish and manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of contact center and/or knowledge management space.
