Privacy and Product Counsel

Contentful is seeking a Legal Counsel Privacy to advise and partner with various teams across the organization to manage legal risk and compliance with global privacy laws. The successful candidate will have strong legal acumen and the ability to distill complex legal concepts into actionable business advice.

Skills

5+ years of legal practice with privacy-related advice to SaaS and/or technology companies
Experience in drafting and negotiating data protection related contracts
Deep knowledge of data protection laws and regulations
Strong writing and communication skills
CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification

Responsibilities

Provide analysis and guidance on privacy, security, and AI-related issues
Draft and negotiate data protection related contracts
Develop and maintain data-related contract templates
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data protection projects
Draft external privacy notices and disclosures
Respond to inquiries about individual data rights and processing activities
