Job Description

The Arlington, TX location is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. In this role you will perform assigned tasks and functions in accordance with organizational instructions, established safety procedures and ISO standards. To plan and organize the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of finished goods. To maintain and audit inventories consistent with company policy and operating plans. 

 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Support production scheduling, shipping, receiving and operations in their functions to ensure product flow through the plant.
  • Work with sales and production supervisors to arrange shipping of completed product.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance on equipment as directed.
  • Complete all computer work and paperwork neatly and correctly as directed.
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion, to include but not limited to sweeping and emptying waste containers around the plant as needed.
  • Comply with all company labor policies.
  • Actively participate in all company betterment activities.
  • Take advantage of opportunities to develop self.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or required.
  • Assist in all areas to include, but not limited to banding pallets for shipping, unloading inbound deliveries, loading out bound shipments, and travelling for pick-ups or deliveries.
  • Follows enforces CTPAT and -related guidelines and reports any security incidents, breaches, or concerns as required

PHYSICAL / WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:

  • Frequent sitting ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent reaching/bending/stooping ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent lifting of weights ranging from 0 - 50 pounds .25 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Frequent exposure to noise, vibration, hazards such as proximity to moving parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in high places, narrow aisles and passageways .25 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Continuous repetitive motion such as typing/visual acuity to view a computer terminal from                5.5 hours per day
  • Continuous determining the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures from 5.5 hours per day
  • Continuous visual inspection of small parts and machinery, operate machinery such as pallet jack or forklift, determine the accuracy from 5.5 hours per day
  • Occasional pushing/ pulling ranging from .25 to 8 hours per day
  • Occasional fingering/grasping/feeling ranging from .25 to 5.5 hours per day
  • Will never be required to lift anything over 50 pounds without assistance

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Shipping and Packaging ability
  • Flexible schedule able to accommodate business’ needs
  • Required to become certified in sit down forklift and articulating forklift, along with other equipment as necessary

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed work requiring continuous concentration.
  • Ability to certify in forklift operation and other equipment as necessary.
  • One year Manufacturing Experience
  • Knowledge of materials, parts and supply inventories and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned job functions in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards
  • Works safely and keeps work area clear of potential hazards
  • Deals effectively and cooperatively with established policies and procedures
