Contract Manager, National Accounts

In this position, you will support the sales organizations for all divisions of Hologic focusing on our largest nationally managed customers. This position is responsible for reviewing and/or developing commercial contracts to ensure documents are in compliance with and adhere to Hologic legal terms, conditions, and policies. In addition to, you will partner with internal stakeholders to build and strengthen relationships with external customers.


What to Expect:

  • Enhance key relationships with business area stakeholders and the direct customers supported within national accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional stakeholders to identify and refine strategies and processes to support Hologic interests
  • Drive and manage projects to support the key initiatives
  • Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements
  • Assist with the implementation of commercial policy and strategy
  • Interview and make hiring recommendations for new Contracting team members
  • Develop strategy, review, draft and negotiate non-standard cross-divisional commercial contracts - with a focus on high value, high complexity, and high impact contracts
    • Prepare and/or participate in the preparation of commercial proposals, contracts and related documents including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and cross-divisional customer contracts
    • Partner with other divisional Contracts Specialists along with Hologic’s internal departments to support the negotiations of customer contract terms and conditions to ensure commercial contracts are consistent with Hologic’s terms, conditions, policies and procedures
    • Coordinate review and input from appropriate business functions and cross-functional teams as needed to complete contracting documents
    • Coordinate with the other members of the team to ensure effective workflow, consistent process execution and unified approach
    • Negotiate and drive positive resolution of contractual issues or disputes when required
    • Manage and drive improvements to department metrics (i.e. turnaround time, contract value, compliance)
    • Collaborate with internal teams on new contract announcements and lead the training on the contractual elements
  • Train new hires and Director of National Accounts on contracting guidelines and processes
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders in understanding and interpreting contract terms and conditions
  • Participate in all required job training and development courses and seminars
  • Cross train on other functions to provide back up support to other Contracts Specialists and Contract Managers
  • Other requests as assigned by Manager

What We Expect:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a corporate legal/contracting department
  • Experience working with contracts in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Experience working with GPO/IDN’s in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required. JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree a plus
  • Demonstrated advanced redlining experience
  • Demonstrated contract drafting experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well/collaborate within a team
  • Strong propensity to learn new software programs/systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must possess strong technical and leadership competencies to succeed in a sales organization
  • Advanced knowledge of contract law including the Uniform Commercial Code
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to learn other Microsoft Office applications with a strong propensity to learn new software programs/systems
  • Travel is required up to 10% of the time

Additional Details:

The annualized base salary range for this role is $64,000 to $100,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
