Position Description


The Shipping and Receiving Clerk reports to and assists the Logistics Manager by performing, documenting, and tracking the selecting, shipping and receiving of customer and supplier product and information. This job does not supervise any employees.

The contract duration is 6 months.

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including but not limited to:

  • Utilize SAP ERP system
  • Stock supply shelves, perform cycle counts, issue materials and deliver supplies to internal customers
  • Verify all goods and information received against purchase orders and/ or shipping documents and record data in ERP system
  • Packages,verifies and labels outgoing shipments and parcels.
  • Utilize Fedex, UPS or DHL on-line shipping programs for daily order processing
  • Additional duties and overtime as required or assigned.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a team-oriented pick/ pack order fulfillment operation with shipping & receiving functionality preferred. Life science or Bio-tech experience a plus
  • Previous experience with FedEx, UPS or DHL online shipping software preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor,SAP,Syteline, lnfor etc) preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel- must be able to generate documents when requested.
  • Perform the physical labor necessary to safely complete tasks
  • Must be able to push, pull or otherwise operate manual pallet jack and/or hand truck
  • May need to lift and carry up to 501bs unassisted, 70+1b with assistance

  • Attention to detail;must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and tasks to completion.
  • Drive, determination and focus.
  • Positive external and internal customer relationship skills
  • Proven ability to participate with others in a team oriented fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
