Clemson University's Youth Learning Institute is looking to fill a part time cook position at its Camp Hannon in Sunset. Camp Hannon is located near Sassafras Mountain off Hwy 178 next to the Foothills Trail. It is 30 mins from Pickens, 15 mins from Rosman, and 30 mins from Brevard. The camp primarily serves smaller camp groups and has a great family atmosphere.

We’re looking to hire a cook to help add to that family atmosphere. The location has a brand new kitchen and dining area. This position will report to the Kitchen Manager.

The cook is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen where he/she will prepare and serve meals to campers, rental groups, school groups, etc. Nights and weekends are required when needed.

Job duties include:

·Food Preparation and cooking of school type meals, buffet style, bag lunches, etc. and the cleanliness, sanitation of the kitchen.

·Keeps up with the plate count worksheets, inventory as directed.

·Uses menus in the preparation of meals

·May take receipt of food orders and other supplies.

·Operates all kitchen equipment in a safe manner

·Maintains a high standard of sanitation in food preparation in accordance with DHEC standards

·Cooperates and communicates with other school staff, public, parents and students to promote a positive school and work climate.

·Other related duties may be assigned.
