We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic Senior Cost Manager who will be part of the PMO team and support the delivery of accurate and timely project information relating to performance against the project baseline.Ā Ā Ā

  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.Ā 

  • Pro-actively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.Ā 

  • Drive the cost performance reporting for the Programme including trend and EV analysis associated with key commitments and expenditures.Ā 

  • Have responsibility for the collation and analysis of Programme Cost Information in accordance with the Cost Management Policy and Procedures.Ā 

  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practiceĀ 

  • Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgetsĀ

šŸ”¹ā€ÆAbout YouĀ 

EssentialĀ 

  • Educated to professional standard and membership of an appropriate body and to degree level or equivalent.Ā 

  • Ability to communicate cost and performance information to peers/managersĀ 

  • Good attention to detail and skilled in interpreting and analysing cost data.Ā 

  • Experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems.Ā 

  • Strong understanding/ working knowledge of Earned Value MethodologiesĀ 

  • Experienced in working within Project Controls in a Major Programme environmentĀ 

  • Strong understanding/ working knowledge of Cost engineering/ forecasting tools (such as PRISM/ EcoSys/ Cobra)Ā 

Ā 

Desirable skill:Ā 

  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement, forms of contracts and construction generallyĀ 

  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialised instruction or practical experience.Ā
