Southeastern Louisiana University's Office for Student Engagement invites applications for the position of Coordinator of the Student Government Association. The Coordinator will coordinate the activities of the Student Government Association through an administrative capacity in conjunction with the Student Government Association President. Assists in the daily operations and management of the Student Government Association officers and programs. Provides leadership training and teamwork development for the members of the three branches (Executive, Senate, and Judicial). Attends SGA meetings and programs and develops a marketing and recruitment plan to increase participation in Student Government programs and activities. Conducts annual review of SGA policies and procedures including the Constitution and Bylaws and policy manual. Directs campus voter registration program and serves as a liaison for the Tangipahoa Parish Registrar of Voters. Serves as the advisor to Dream Team and aids in the development and implementation of all student Homecoming events. Accompanies students to leadership conferences and state meetings as requested. Assists in creation, development, and implementation of the Office for Student Engagement activities and programs. Attends weekly Student Engagement Staff meetings and is responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director for Student Engagement, Dean of Students, Vice President for Student Affairs, and President.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field from an accredited university.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Must have a demonstrated record of leadership, program development and presentation, budgetary procedures and accounting, communications skills, both oral and written and the ability to work with students, faculty and staff.
Must have knowledge of Student Government Associations and a working knowledge of computers and basic word processing and spreadsheet software.
