QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

· Master’s Degree in education or subject-related field

· Valid Texas Teacher Certification

· Minimum of three (3) years of fine arts teaching experience

Special Knowledge & Skills

· Knowledge of elementary and secondary dance, cheer, step, and general music programs

· Ability to collaborate, support and evaluate district-wide programs for improvement in learner performance

· Knowledge of curriculum development, including how to write, align, and implement a sound curriculum

· Ability to collect, analyze and evaluate data in making decisions

· Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills in PK-12 in related field

· Knowledge of pedagogical strategies and instructional materials

· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

· Manage budget aligned with vision and goals

· Understanding of conceptual learning design and learner-driven inquiry

· Ability to create supports based on stakeholder input for the content area

· Use digital technologies effectively to communicate and model technology use in learning

· Ability to lead groups which may vary in their different areas of expertise in order to bring collaboration, collective commitment, and focus to the whole organization
