Who we need:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, and cooling systems. Responsible for air quality systems, from installation to end-of-life. Execute maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, with a customer focus approach. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities not only HVAC, but other general facility maintenance as well as assigned. Acting as the contact for all emergency situations. Assess and consider the safety and security of employees, the security of all company assets and services to our members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire
- Must have reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver’s License with state minimum insurance coverage and ability to meet and maintain Copa Health’s acceptable driving requirements.
- Successfully completes a pre-employment drug screening.
- TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
- Pre-Employment Physical clearance required.
JOB SUMMARY
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- General facility maintenance with general knowledge of plumbing and electrical
- Assisting with customers' queries.
- Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
- Ensure compliance with on-call requirements for emergency repairs or maintenance issues.
