Solution Architect - Service Now Lead

Job Summary


As a Service Now Lead within our Managed Services Provider (MSP) firm, you would be responsible for design, maintenance, and development of new features and functionality to allow us to better serve our client base.  This person must have a deep understanding of ITSM capabilities and processes, a background in implementing technology to support ITIL frameworks, ServiceNow technical acumen and experience, and will serve as an internal escalation point for leadership and peers. This is a hands-on role with expectations of additionally being involved in day-to-day activities. 


Essential Duties
  • Design, Development and Implementation of ServiceNow customization including, but not limited to: core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations
  • Responsible for programming workflow, enhancements and integrations with ServiceNow platform applications
  • Integration and ServiceNow Scripting (Glide, (JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSON etc. HTML and CSS))
  • Executing assigned project-based work for technical implementations of new solutions or changes to current solutions
  • Perform upgrades and customizations of ServiceNow platform applications based on guidance from project manager, architects, ITIL practice leads and customers
  • Providing support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes.
  • Reviewing and approving 3rd party and integration solution architecture based on established enterprise application strategy.
  • Defining and validating non-functional (technical) requirements and establishing traceability between requirements and application architecture/design


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Development, Implementation and Integration
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow ITSM
  • Experience successfully carrying out end to end implementation of IT solutions and support.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, minimum Foundation level, ideally higher
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing business needs and defining the integration requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and communicate well with clients
  • Ability to develop rapport with internal technical staff and leadership, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Self-starter, self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solution
  • Working knowledge of Service Now in an MSP environment
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM (CIS-ITSM)


$95,000 - $140,000 a year
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.

The base salary for this position is typically $65,000 to $85,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
