This person will lead the planning and execution of external engagement, cultivation and fundraising events including support needed to align priorities, manage all stakeholder engagement and track activities in support of fundraising support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organization and communication skills.The starting salary range for this position is $85,000-$90,000 commensurate with qualifications.This is a full-time, benefits-eligible 3-year term position with the possibility of renewal. This is a hybrid position with the expectation to work at least 1 day per week on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City. There is some flexibility for the individual in this role to work fully remotely. Flexible work schedules are subject to change.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Essential Functions Include:Fundraising Event Management and Coordination across departments and sites- 25%• Coordinate with other departments and sites to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.• Lead the coordination and execution of select engagements, cultivation and fundraising eventsExecutive Stakeholder in support of fundraising- 20%• Provide comprehensive support to the founder, including managing schedules, arranging meetings, and handling correspondence relevant to fundraising• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, presentations, and other materials for executive meetings and events.• Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for the founder, ensuring smooth and efficient travel experiences.• Conduct research and compile briefing documents to support the founder's engagements and strategic initiatives.Donor Segmentation and Targeting- 15%• Collaborate with the fundraising team to segment donor databases based on various criteria such as giving history, demographics, and engagement level.• Develop all communications and templates to support fundraising and tailor to specific donor segments, including donor appeals, impact reports, and stewardship materials.Data Analysis and Reporting- 15%• Maintain a fundraising and strategic stakeholder database and analytics tools to track, analyze, and interpret data related to stakeholder/donor behavior, giving patterns, and campaign performance.• Generate regular reports and insights to inform fundraising strategies, measure progress towards goals, and identify areas for improvement.• Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively present key fundraising metrics and trends to stakeholders.• Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the fundraising database by conducting regular data hygiene procedures, including de-duplication and updating donor records.Prospect Research and Identification- 10%• Conduct research to identify prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, with the capacity and inclination to support our organization.• Evaluate wealth indicators and philanthropic interests and give priorities to prioritize and qualify prospects for cultivation and solicitation.• Develop briefing materials including donor profiles and giving history, to support cultivation and solicitation efforts.Gift Processing and Acknowledgment- 10%• Support gift processing operations by ensuring accurate and timely recording of donations in the fundraising database.• Facilitate the acknowledgment process by drafting personalized thank-you letters and communications for donors.Other position-related responsibilities- 5%• Participate in projects with occasional work responsibility falling above or below current classification.Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, economics, statistics, or nonprofit management.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, development operations, or data analysis within the nonprofit sector.• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling fundraising messages and donor communications.• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.• Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for leveraging data to drive social impact.• Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.• Experience working with diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing programs.• Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing.• Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds.• Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community membersPreferred Qualifications• Advanced degree or certification in fundraising, data analytics, or a related field.• Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, or statistical analysis techniques.• Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices, including ethical guidelines and donor privacy standards.• Familiarity with prospect research tools and wealth screening databases.• Previous
