The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Purpose of Position: We are seeking an intern who is familiar with contract manufacturing or has some knowledge or education based in manufacturing processes or one of the engineering disciplines that could affect manufacturing. This intern position will help to understand the manufacturing processes and verify current capacity constraints at our CMs by assisting with database population.Major Roles and Responsibilities:• Understanding current CM manufacturing processes.• Find the bottlenecks that affect throughput and options available to increase capacity.Travel and location of work:• Role based out of the Corning, Keller, TX facility.Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:• Enrolled in BS or MS program or equivalent. Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Preferred• Familiarization with Contract Manufacturing• Relevant project or industry experience a plus.• Ability to manage multiple tasks.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information.• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.• Be willing to work at the posted job locationThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.
