The Role

GoGuardian is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the Company’s accounting team. The Controller will be a

key member of the Finance leadership team as we undergo an organizational transformation to more closely 

align Finance with the strategic imperatives of the Company. This is an opportunity to help scale and further 

mature the processes of a growing business. A prime candidate has a proven track record of being a builder of 

organizations / processes and being a strategic business partner in a fast paced growth environment.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee core Controllership duties including accounting, treasury, payroll, A/R, A/P and tax
  • Drive the month-end close process, seeking continuous improvement in accuracy, speed and rigor
  • Lead preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting that enables the business to make optimal 
  • decisions
  • Oversee audit processes and proactively communicate with auditors on accounting for complex 
  • transactions
  • Upgrade and monitor internal controls, audit compliance and financial procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws
  • Implement best practices as it relates to systems, processes, and procedures focused on data accuracy 
  • and timeliness
  • Be a business partner to all functions on accounting-related matters as the business continues to grow 
  • and scale
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key financial partners, including banks, investors, and auditors
  • Hire, manage and coach a performance-oriented accounting organization

Who You Are

  • 12+ years of progressive Accounting experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and SaaS
  • company experience. Big Four or national accounting firm audit experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree in
  • Accounting is a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation
  • Proven working experience as a Controller or an Assistant Controller in a software business
  • Prior experience in a private equity owned business is a plus
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience evolving processes, controls and systems to support a growth stage company
  • Experience managing relationships with external auditors
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and managed multiple stakeholders on high-visibility projects
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment for a rapidly growing business

The typical base salary range for this position is $157,000 - $235,000 plus variable pay per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
