Expect to work on investment origination activities, M&A analysis and deal execution, as well as interact with Abrigo’s executive leadership team & Board of Directors.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated Corporate Development Associate. This is an integral role within the M&A organization, reporting to the Chief Corporate Development Officer. The ideal candidate will be willing to roll-up their sleeves and have the desire to problem solve in a non-routine, dynamic environment. This position will be remote or office based in Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX.
What You’ll Do:

Support the Corporate Development team’s functions of identifying, executing and integrating acquired businesses & assets that align to Abrigo’s growth strategy

Assist with the building and maintaining of a strong and sustained investment pipeline

Develop a deep understanding of Abrigo’s product set and industry and use that understanding to validate acquisition alignment
- Assist the team in end-to-end execution of transactions and strategic decision-making, to include coordinating internal and external due diligence efforts, preparing financial / operating analysis and presentations, and leading collaboration across functions
What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Accounting or Business concentration preferred)

2 – 5 years of professional experience in M&A investment banking or private equity, preferably in technology / SaaS, Financial Technology transaction experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of corporate financial principles, including traditional valuation methodologies (comparable companies analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, discounted cashflow, ability to pay, etc.)

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong financial modeling capabilities

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Pitchbook, and CapitalIQ; experience with sales CRM tools (Salesforce) a plus

Detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills and intellectual curiosity

Potential to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft recommendations and results into easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations

Ability to build cross-functional working relationships and add value as an M&A business partner

Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency

Ability to travel as needed (30%)
