Team Description

Our Business Strategy & Operations team sets and drives key business initiatives across the company. We complement and support product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams across three critical areas: corporate and business unit strategy, business planning and sales operations, and business systems and tools development.

Role Description

The Corporate Strategy Associate/Manager will be joining a lean and high-impact team, including alumni from top investment banking and operational backgrounds. You will work in close collaboration with Business Unit and functional leaders to deliver insights that help leaders make strategic and operational decisions. You will be responsible for understanding our customer’s needs and market dynamics to develop strategies and roadmaps that preserve and extend Dropbox’s competitive advantages. You will have a have a 360° view of the business and the opportunity to work collaboratively across business functions.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, from inception through execution
You will lead cross-functional project teams and present findings in written narrative form to leaders
You will conduct market sizing and competitive analysis to inform decisions relating to current and future lines of business
You will synthesize data from internal and external sources to present recommendations tied to business outcomes
You will conduct financial analysis and lightweight financial modeling in support of strategic recommendations
You will contribute to voice of customer and customer feedback programs
You will contribute to strategic and operational updates for the board of directors
Requirements

Bachelors degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in management consulting and/or corporate strategy
Understanding of SaaS business models, SaaS funnel metrics, and industry trends affecting the collaboration and productivity sector
Excellent qualitative & quantitative analytical skills with financial modelling expertise required for market sizing and long term planning
Ability to develop trusted relationships internally. Be scrappy and an effective cross-functional collaborator
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent and showcase complex business or technical concepts with senior leadership
Excellent Excel skills and working SQL knowledge, or willingness to learn SQL quickly

Total Rewards

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $109,600 - $128,900 - $148,200.

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $98,600 - $116,000 - $133,400.

For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $87,600 - $103,100 - $118,600.

Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
