Coupa’s Front End Engineers create our best-in-class User Interface by contributing to front-end development of Coupa’s cloud-based software enterprise product, finding creative and elegant solutions to complex problems while collaborating closely with product managers, User Experience (UX) designers, and development teams to help drive standardization of user interface patterns and champion best practices

 

As a Lead Front End Engineer you will be a part of a team developing software using React.js and CSS to build responsive pages with ease of use for our customers. You will complete complex assignments impacting the team output while designing, developing and maintaining features and functionality.


What You'll Do:
  • As a member of the development group, you will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining various product and technical initiatives.
  • Being a hands-on developer is a key responsibility in this role
  • Collaborate with the Product and Design teams to build new features to solve business problems and fill business needs.
  • Participate in code reviews to create robust and maintainable code.
  • Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life. Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process, and business.
  • Communicate and coordinate with our support and professional services teams to solve customer issues.
  • Help scale our platform as we expand.


What You Will Bring to Coupa:
  • 7+ years of experience with front-end development using React.js or similar Javascript framework
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer
  • Understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility and browser performance
  • 5+ years of experience with CSS and building responsive pages with usability in mind
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with a globally distributed team while having growth-oriented mindset
  • Passion for building enterprise web applications leveraging modern architecture principles,
  • Prior experience as a full stack developer is a plus
  • Experience with web-accessibility/WCAG standards
  • Experience working collaboratively with a globally distributed team.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and good exposure to DevOps/CICD models.
  • Passion for keeping up with new trends and developments in the programming community and eagerness to incorporate these new ideas into our codebase


The estimated pay range for this role is as follows:


•Based in California: $180,200 - $212,000


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
