Job Overview:


 As the Director of Employee Experience, you will report directly to the Chief Learning Officer and be responsible for enhancing the overall work experience for our global workforce. Your key focus areas will include employee engagement, sentiment analysis, fostering connections among our diverse and distributed workforce, and coordinating various on-site and virtual events. Responsibilities:


  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, creating a workplace where our team feels motivated and valued.
  • Employee Surveys: Conduct regular employee engagement surveys, analyze the results, and work closely with department heads to drive actions and improvements.
  • Workplace Culture: Cultivate a positive workplace culture that aligns with our company values and supports our mission.
  • Employee Development: Collaborate with HR and Learning and Development teams to create opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Flexible Work Model: Manage our flexible work model, ensuring employees thrive whether they work remotely or in the office. Company On-Sites: Coordinate company on-site events, meetings, and workshops, ensuring seamless execution. Connection Building: Organize local in-office events, virtual gatherings, and initiatives that foster connections among our global workforce.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance metrics related to employee experience, providing regular reports to the executive team.


Basic Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in a people leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience interpreting data and making data-driven decisions
  • Experience driving change initiatives and improving employee experiences
  • Demonstrated history working in global flexible work models and the challenges they present


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree preferred
  • Relevant HR or Employee Experience certifications
  • A creative mindset to develop engaging events and initiatives
  • Proficiency in multiple languages due to our global workforce
  • Familiarity with the educational technology industry is a plus


Compensation:


Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $139,000 and $273,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.
