Job Description:
BS + 5 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in power electronics design
Strong EE fundamentals in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems
Schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed signal boards (Cadence, Altium, Eagle etc.)
Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C, SMBus, SPMI, etc.)
Experience with high volume manufacturing
Self-starter with excellent time management skills and curious spirit
Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Strong documentation and communication skills
Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Description
Design BMU from concept to mass production focusing on detailed board level design
Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues
Develop Schematics and BOMs to satisfy the design requirements
Develop layout guidelines for PCBs and guides Layout Engineers to meet all physical and electrical requirements of the BMU
Specify custom parts and PCBs for use in BMUs
Analyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the requirements. (PSPCIE, ANSYS)
Conduct design validation on prototypes to implement the design
Conduct design reviews, incorporate team feedbacks and release the design documents for builds
Specify production test methods and limits and work with CM partners to realize design
Education and experience
BS in electrical engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years of power electronics. MS preferred.
Compensation at Cprime varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Cprime provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, or Washington as set forth above.
