Senior Interaction Designer

Our research based client is seeking a Senior Interaction Designer to help with a project. They're developing an interactive tool that will allow users to explore and analyze data collected. The backend will consist of a database and an API that pulls the relevant small area estimates or microdata from the database and feeds it to the front-end webpage, where users can generate standard reports... based on topic or geography, explore interactive maps, and conduct custom analyses of the public use data. To be considered, Senior UI/Interaction Designer must have: • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch or XD • High-fidelity wireframe experience • Experience working on gov websites + 508 compliance is a big plus Senior UI/Interaction Designer Responsibilities: • Emphasis is on creating high-fidelity wireframe layouts with inferred design styling. Given the functional nature of the tool, the design should prioritize usability over elaborate visual elements, in line with client branding. Wireframes will be developed in tools such as Figma. • The design layer should be clean and simple, with a bit more look/feel on the landing page. The ask around branding is to just incorporate it into high-fidelity wires that include styling of UI elements.
