The role, at a glance:
Biamp is seeking a highly motivated Credit and Collections Supervisor to lead, mentor and guide our team of Credit Analysts to review the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses and determine the risk involved in extending credit terms. This role will report to the Global Credit Manager.
How you'll contribute:
Maintain and ensure adherence to the corporate credit and collections policies in order to support revenue growth while reducing the risk of bad debt.
Perform credit analysis of new prospective customers.
Work directly with Sales teams to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
Establish a process to deal with higher risk customers.
Prepare and distribute periodic reporting to sales and management teams.
Drive credit and collection process improvements and efficiencies.
Develop and assist in training personnel, including outsourced personnel.
Assist with the month end close process as needed.
Control, manage, and monitor the financial impact of trade receivables ensuring targets are met.
Compile information and compose reports detailing the degree of risk involved in extending credit request; recommends approval or denial based on results.
Resolves customer complaints and verifies transactions through consultation.
Identifies delinquent accounts through the review of individual or commercial customer files.
Performs other related collection and accounting duties as assigned.
A successful candidate should have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or commensurate experience in a related position.
Basic understanding of banking and corporate cash management concepts.
Basic understanding of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies used in credit analysis.
Ability to identify discrepancies and problems with account reconciliation.
Ability to retain objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress.
Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled.
Communicates a “can do” attitude and positive outlook.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
Ability to demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software.
Work environment:
This is an onsite position based in Beaverton, OR.
Office environment, prolonged sitting and routine computer use.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15lbs.
