Vacancy Number: req4200Location: PrincetonResponsibilitiesCroda has a great opportunity for an entry-level scientist to join the Beauty Care Applications team based in Princeton, NJ. The primary responsibilities and qualifications for this role include but are not limited to the following:Formulate prototypes of various skin care and hair care productsManage stability studies for the ongoing formulation projects and support troubleshooting when necessaryWork with Croda sampling department to maintain formulation prototypes inventory.Develop formulation prototypes for Sales and Marketing promotions and customer events, workshops, tradeshows, etc.Deliver projects against agreed milestones, and issue reports on time.Identify new projects for applications and data packages to support the sale of differentiated products.Support peers and associates in the delivery of shared project objectives through cooperative training and hands-on assistance where needed.Develop new products through application of standard research principles and provide ideas for new applications of existing products with support of accurate and reliable data.Support interaction with customers through technical support, formulation sample recommendations, and support of customer work requests as needed .Provide appropriate updates to teammates, global peers, and other internal collaborators through audience-specific communication.All other duties will be assigned by management.Education & ExperienceA degree) in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field with relevant laboratory experience.1-2 years of formulation experienceBasic knowledge of chemistry and physical measurementsSkillsMust have oral & written proficiency in the English language.Good interpersonal skills, a self-starter capable of independent work but keen to work as part of a team.Effective Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are EssentialProficient in MS Office.Creative and tenacious with good planning and problem-solving skills.Adaptable around changing project requirements and priorities.Ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously to successful conclusions under own initiative.Good experimentalist with ability/experience in running research projects.Ability to interact constructively within department and with other departments.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be physically capable of standing to work at the laboratory bench for up to 7 hours a day.
