Role Overview- The Solution/Engineering Architect will work with clients’ product development and engineering teams and leaders to co-create value by architecting, designing and implementing solutions to integrate, remediate, modernize, or innovate client platforms/products and engineering challenges. This role leads, develops and refines deliverables that support client technology strategy, roadmap and engineering processes to enable business growth and transformation goals.
- Like all our Crosslake practitioners, this role has been around the block a few times, lived in the trenches and ideally has led successful programs that pragmatically apply technology to accomplishing business goals.Specifically, this practitioner role is a senior level consultant who can strategize, plan, guide, coach and roll up sleeves to work with client engineers and managers.

Responsibilites- Participate in discussions around product engineering/delivery strategy and objectives to inform what is possible
- Translate business and technical objectives into actionable architecture and engineering epics and stories
- Assess technology and implementation risks and develop mitigation plans
- Understand the capabilities and skills needed to implement and deploy modern solutions
- Bridge communications and knowledge gaps between business focused and tech focused individuals and teams
- Lead/drive, co-create and co-deliver client technology products/programs
Requirements/Qualifications- 15+ years as an architect or engineering leader with at least two of the following architecture specialties: Cloud software including infrastructure (aka site reliability) engineering/ Embedded Systems including mission critical/ Data and Analytics Systems/ Enterprise Systems
- Leadership and hands-on engineering experience with at least two cloud migrations at a +$100M/yr business
- Hands-on management and experience with at least one cloud migration at a +$10M/yr business
- Software developer background with at least five years in a team setting
- More than three years implementing and deploying solutions/products as an architect in a small-medium companies (< $100M revenue)
- More than three years implementing and deploying systems/products as an architect in a +$100M/yr enterprise
- Recent/current hands-on engineering experience with at five of the following technologies/platforms/capabilities: .Net/Java/MS SQL/Oracle/AWS/ Azure/ GCP/Security/Cloud/FinOps/DevOps/Quality Engineering
- Working knowledge of at least one common diagramming/UML tool set
- Strong working knowledge of cloud/computing technologies in either AWS or Azure Cloud, development tools and emerging technologies
- Proven ability to assess, design and implement an end-to-end transformation roadmap, driven by clear business cases based on business values and outcomes, using rational solution components and the solution shaped with human-centric adoption and change in mind
