Luganda Transcription Project – Annotators, QA, and Supervisor Roles
Join the CrowdGen team as an Independent Contractor for Project A10347 IRIS Luganda ASR Transcription. We are looking for native Luganda speakers with transcription experience and strong English reading comprehension skills to join a dynamic transcription project aimed at improving human-computer interaction.
Participants will contribute to the creation of an audio database by transcribing recordings on various topics, such as daily life, sports, education, travel, and more.
Project Duration: October to December (3 months)
Compensation:
- Annotators: $30 per valid audio hour
- Quality Assurance (QA): $20 per valid audio hour

Responsibilities:
Annotator: Transcribe audio files accurately according to provided guidelines and respond to feedback promptly and make necessary corrections.
QA: Review transcriptions for accuracy and provide constructive feedback. Ensure major errors are corrected and help avoid recurring mistakes.
Supervisor: Train and onboard new team members. Lead Q&A sessions and review meetings. Oversee overall performance and ensure workflow efficiency. Communicate regularly with the project manager to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Native Luganda speaker
- Transcription experience
- Strong English reading comprehension skills
- Ability to commit 3-4 hours of work per day
