We are a remote-first company, you can choose where you work from (CET + / - 2h). However, you’ll be asked to come into either the London or the Paris office for your onboarding (we’ll arrange everything).
Cryptio is looking for a senior back-end software engineer interested in working on large scale data challenges, computational streaming and dataflow processing.
You will join a team of talented engineers working on Cryptio’s toughest technical challenges. The mission of this team is to build and maintain technical primitives enabling Cryptio’s scaling. Our ambition is to build a digital asset back-office platform which scales with the most demanding use cases. Blockchains and exchanges are scaling, reporting needs to follow.
You will join a high impact team focusing on performance and shaping the future of back-office and reporting for businesses with intensive crypto use cases.

PostgreSQL (we stream data coming from a PostgreSQL database)
Rust programming language
High performance stream processing and search libraries
Key-value data store
Write production-grade Rust
Contribute to our data processing and streaming pipeline
Develop new features and improve the performance of existing ones
Work with the team lead and the CTO to refine the team’s roadmap and take key technical / architectural decisions
Write documentation and tests
5+ years of experience writing software
Some experience with large scale data management
Some experience with stream processing / computational streaming
Some experience with Rust or C++
Familiar with data structures (B-tree, LSM…)
Familiar with databases data models
Great computer science culture
Impeccable spoken and written English
Great communication, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiar with key / value databases
Familiar with PostgreSQL Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms
Familiar with gRPC API development
Some experience with distributed and fault-tolerant systems
Prior experience working in a start-up / fast-paced environment
Remote, anywhere in the world. You are welcome to work from our London or Paris offices if you wish.
