Who we are
At CryptoNext Security, we are pioneering the future of cybersecurity with post-quantum cryptography solutions. As a software vendor, our mission is to protect the sensitive data of major enterprises and governments from the emerging threats posed by quantum computing. We work closely with industry leaders in tech and security to develop cutting-edge embedded cryptographic products and solutions to manage the migration to quantum safe. If you want to be at the forefront of innovation and drive technology forward, CryptoNext is the place to expand your expertise.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Develop cryptographic solutions in embedded environments: You will be responsible for integrating our post-quantum cryptographic solutions into embedded systems used by our clients, which include industries such as aerospace and security.
- Work across multiple platforms, including HSMs: Develop and optimize software for a wide variety of platforms, from microcontrollers (such as CortexM and RISC-V) to more complex embedded Linux environments and even Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), with a focus on high-security applications.
- Utilize secure protocols: Leverage mbedTLS to act on security protocols and ensure proper secure boot implementations at the OS level.
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability: Focus on optimizing performance and memory management in constrained environments, while conducting tests to guarantee the reliability and robustness of your implementations.
- Utilize key development tools: You will be using tools like ArmCC, Keil, cross-compilers, GDB, MCUXPresso, QEMU, and ST tools to complete your development tasks.
- Contribute to security certification documentation: Participate in the preparation and maintenance of documentation required for security certifications, such as FIPS and Common Criteria, ensuring that our cryptographic solutions meet the highest industry standards.
The skills you’ll need:
- Significant experience in embedded development: A strong background in embedded systems development with expertisein microcontrollers, embedded Linux, and HSM.
- Key technical knowledge: Familiarity with CortexM, RISC-V, and FPGA-synthesized processors is essential.
Experience with cryptographic protocols, such as mbedTLS and PKCS11, as well as secure boot at the OS level.
- Languages: You’re a proficient C developer. Knowledge of Rust is a plus.
- Tools and environments: Mastery of embedded development environments, such as ArmCC, cross-compilers, GDB, MCUXPresso, QEMU, and ST tools.
- Experience in performance optimization: Demonstrated ability to improve performance in embedded systems and manage memory in constrained environments.
- Self-driven autonomy: You must be able to work independently and take initiative , as there will be limited supervision. Senior candidates will have the opportunity to build and lead their own team.
The team you’ll be joining:
You will work alongside a team of experts focused on developing cutting-edge cryptographic solutions for embedded systems. Your role will be crucial in helping CryptoNext build internal expertise and establish partnerships with key players in the tech and security sectors, focusing on embedded products.
Our recruitment process:
- Phone interview with our HR team for an initial contact.
- Technical interview with our lead engineers to assess your embedded systems development skills, your experience with cryptographic protocols, and your knowledge of the key tools and platforms.
- Final interview with senior management to evaluate your fit with CryptoNext’s culture and discuss the details of the role.
This role offers you the chance to be deeply involved in developing and deploying post-quantum cryptographic solutions in highly secure environments. You will work with diverse embedded platforms, from microcontrollers to HSMs, while ensuring compliance with the latest security standards. CryptoNext is an innovative environment where your expertise will contribute to building a safer future for digital systems worldwide.
On the benefits side, you’ll find a nice office located close to Gare de Lyon, a fair compensation package, and mainly… we believe here at CryptoNext that our coworkers are our best perks!
When it comes to remote work, we work from the office 3 days per week, at least.
