Entry-Level Structural Engineer
CSR Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in one of our three TN office locations: Pleasant View, Lebanon, Shelbyville. Thís position is expected to begin no later than June of 2025.The Entry-Level Structural Engineer will support our Structural and Rail engineering services.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Computer-aided design and drafting of buildings and bridges using tools including, but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc…
- Organize and prepare reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design projects.
- Field work including bridge inspections, structural reviews, and construction inspection.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field with a concentration in structures.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Ability to perform field duties as they arise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for engineering-related projects including railroad structures, highway bridges, retaining walls, and buildings.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred (not required)
- Strong organizational, technical, and communications skills
- Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule constraints.
